Adam

It took about an hour of tossing and turning for Adam to admit that this was one aspect of taking David to the farm that he hadn’t thought about. It hadn’t even occurred to him that he would miss having the younger man in the bed with him.

His soft breaths and little snores were better than any noise machine, and Adam even missed the way David alternated between hogging the covers and burrowing in under his chin and clinging to him like a limpet.

Giving up and staring up at the ceiling, Adam wondered if David was missing him just as much as he was missing him. The thought made him roll his eyes at how sentimental he’d gotten, and he wondered if maybe loving David as much as he did was making him too soft.

Except that no, Adam liked the way things were with David, and if it was softer than what he’d liked before that didn’t matter one bit.

Pushing down the silky soft Egyptian cotton draped over his chest, Adam swung his legs over the side of the bed and perched on the edge of the mattress. The master bedroom of Rex’s guesthouse was bathed in darkness, the sofa and chair facing the empty fireplace barely visible shapes against the wall, just a barely there light creeping in from under the bathroom door.

Standing, Adam pulled on his jeans, yanking them up over his big ass and tucking his cock down the side of his left thigh. He couldn’t see his boots, so he felt his way along the wall until he found the light switch, pushing it and blinking at the sudden brightness.

His boots were just a step away. He grabbed them and slid his bare feet into the well-worn leather, turning toward the full length mirror next to the dresser and admiring himself. Tight jeans and cowboy boots was a good look on him. It was a shame that David wasn’t there to enjoy the view.

Putting on his t-shirt, Adam grabbed his leather jacket and headed outside. He made his way down the walkway to the stables, motion activated lights guiding his way, the tall trees on either side of the path ominous and looming above him. It was a windy night, the air cold and crisp, and Adam zipped his jacket up as far as it would go. It wasn’t enough to take the sting out of the cold, but it helped.

Quickening his step, Adam hurried into the stables, rubbing his hands together and kicking the door shut behind him.

The building was kept nice and toasty warm – allowing everyone inside to be as naked as they pleased – so Adam unzipped his jacket.

Not bothering to turn on the light in the tack room, Adam made his way into the stable proper and headed over to Hector’s stall. Treading softly, he walked past the sturdy fucking bench, trailing his fingers over the leather with a small grin.
